Being homebound doesn’t have to be miserable! It may be a temptation to slump around and be lazy, but this isn’t good for our physical or mental health. Kids especially need to stay stimulated somewhat regularly. The good news is that there are many free online resources for homebound kids! Keep reading for my picks.

GoNoodle engages 14 million kids every month with movement and mindfulness videos created by child development experts. Available for free at school, home, and everywhere kids are! This is one of my favorite free online resources for kids to move their bodies to.

Cosmic Kids Yoga

More than a million kids do yoga, mindfulness and relaxation with Jaime on the Cosmic Kids YouTube Channel. Parents and teachers report significant improvements in self-regulation, focus and empathy. But the videos are BRILLIANT FUN so kids love doing them!

Khan Academy

Khan Academy offers practice exercises, instructional videos, and a personalized learning dashboard that empower learners to study at their own pace in and outside of the classroom. This is a great free online resource for kids and adults!

NASA Stem is chock full of activities, interactive media, videos, and information about space and other STEM subjects. Got a future space explorer at home? Definitely give this site a look.

Webcams at the Monterey Bay Aquarium

Watch live feeds at the Monterey Bay Aquarium tanks! Underwater web cam locations include the aviary cam, coral reef cam, kelp forest cam, open sea cam, otter cam, shark cam, and more! This is an amazing way for children to experience underwater life from their own home. There’s even a Guided “MeditOcean” with the Monterey Bay sunset.
