Beauty should be good for you. As part of my passion for health and wellness, I work with Beautycounter to fight for better health-protective laws and get safer personal care products into the hands of everyone.
Did you know the last time a major law was passed regulating the personal care products industry in the US was 1938? Since then, over 80,000 chemicals have been introduced into the market and the FDA requires virtually no testing before a product ends up on the shelf. Ingredients linked to cancer and hormone disruption are still commonly found in our baby shampoo, body wash, hair gel, deodorant, diapers, cosmetics, feminine care products, etc. The European Union has banned over 1400 ingredients from products while the US has only banned 30.
We are overdue for change and Beautycounter is doing something about it. They have created products without using over 1500 questionable or harmful ingredients, aka the Never List. Beautycounter also works to educate and advocate alongside offering their amazing products. I added my voice to this mission in February 2018 and haven’t looked back. Educating others on the dangers in their products, advocating for major legislative change, and providing a safer solution with high-performing products is my jam! It aligns with my passion for helping others and living and learning about a clean, nontoxic life. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions about the job or products. I’m an open book!
